Love and Loss

LOVE:

So my favorite cousin, Amy, is now married. What an exciting weekend! Even though I had to spend my few free moments studying for school, I really enjoyed myself. I got to see soooo many relatives I rarely get to see (friends, too, Holly and Ashok!!) And, the family finally got to meet my Brandon Bear. I was so happy for him to say, without my asking, that he had a great time this weekend!

LOSS:

I have quite a bit of upcoming loss that I am anticipating...but not one thing about it is bad!
I am going to lose...
...my nasty ol' broken down car
...my wisdom teeth (thank goodness! my bottom left one hurts all of the time now)
...my bunions (eventually)
...less sleep (I hope!!!)

What's New?

This weekend I went to my cousin Hal's wedding. It was very sweet. The most touching part was when they spent a few minutes at the beginning of the ceremony to have certain family members light candles in honor of families members who are no longer living. It was touching. However, I still can't get over the fact that when we arrived at the reception hall, we actually saw a sign with an arrow pointed to the right for Wedding Reception parking...and to the left for Rodeo parking!!

On Friday, the Academic Advisor I position finally posted, so I applied for it. Now, it's just up to the Human Resources department to determine if I'm worthy of forwarding to The Honors College "for review"! From that point, unless someone more qualified applies, I should be in!

My lower left-hand wisdom tooth has begun to poke through the gums. It occasionally hurts when I chew, and it is beginning to hurt more often. It also hurts when I poke at it, but that's really my own fault, huh?

4 More Years!

Hello! Guess what?! Today is Brandon's and my 4-year anniversary! Woo hoo! (A new personal record for us both, might I add?) AND today is the first week day I've had off from work in who knows how long?! Granted, I have some errands to run, but at least I can NOT go to San Antonio today.

I need to:

• Go to the post office.
• Get Brandon's anniversary present.
• Get my oil changed.
• Read, read, read for my classes.
• Remember what else it was I was supposed to do today.
• Do whatever else it was I was supposed to do today.
• Get ready to meet Brandon.
• Enjoy a fun evening with my honey bunches!

We are going to:

• Go to dinner at Eddie V's.
• Play pool.
• Go to Cheesecake Factory for dessert.

Woo hoo! More details may be yet to come.... ; ) Perhaps we'll discuss sharing 4 More Years!
